Charles Baynes

Having qualified with the firm “well into the last century”, Charles went on to gain experience (both audit and City flotation work) with an International firm of Chartered Accountants and subsequently served as Group Finance Director to a publicly quoted group of companies, re-joining WK in 1988 to assist with certain acquisitive clients with due diligence and transaction support and public flotation. He uses this experience to head up WK Corporate Finance LLP and takes principal responsibility for the firm’s transaction support offering.

Charles also acts as lead Partner in providing audit assurance and business advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients ranging from smaller SME’s through to public companies.

In his spare time he is an active triathlete and marathon runner, having completed his first Ironman triathlon in 2006 and most of the big city marathons. He is also a keen yachtsman in the summer months and referees rugby on most weekends during the season, “to keep fit”.
