WK Corporate Finance ("WKCF") has advised the directors’ of SharpCloud Software Limited (“SharpCloud”) on its development capital raise, funded by YFM Equity Partners (“YFM”).
SharpCloud was founded in 2012 by Sarim Khan and Rusty Johnson, following the successful sale of their previous software business to Oracle Primavera. Having spent some time within the Business Intelligence and data analytics space, they noted a lack of powerful top-down software tools that could allow large organisations to visualise complex data across siloed lines-of-business and built SharpCloud to solve this.
Since the launch of its enterprise product two years ago, SharpCloud has seen rapid growth, with organisations ranging from Rolls Royce to the US Federal Government using the product to unlock key insights and support executive decision making.
YFM’s investment will be used to support the continued growth of the business as it scales to meet the market opportunity, with SharpCloud expanding its team in the UK and the US. These newly created roles will enable the business to continue to further develop its market-leading technology and to grow its international client base.
Commenting on the deal, Sarim Khan (CEO, SharpCloud Limited) remarked:
“This investment marks an exciting milestone for SharpCloud and our customers. We believe we can now scale, while staying true to our original vision, to simplify complex decision making. It's been a privilege to work with WK Corporate Finance ("WKCF") on this round of funding and with Dan's invaluable advice and guidance, we’ve found an amazing investor to help us grow and transform our business to take it to the next level. We are excited about what the future holds."
Daniel Jonas (Associate Director, WK Corporate Finance) commented:
“I am thrilled for Sarim, Rusty and the SharpCloud team. SharpCloud has developed a truly game-changing solution earning an abundance of rave reviews from its blue-chip customer base. The company has achieved rapid international growth over the last 24 months and this funding will propel SharpCloud to the next level globally.”
