WKCF advised on the management buy in of Ralph Coleman International facilitated by £4.25m of long term debt funding from Caple and a £2m ID line from Arbuthnot.
Founded by Ralph and Maureen Coleman in 1994, RCI is a retail services business providing washing facilities, storage, haulage and repair services for plastic trays in the retail food sector. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week the tray and pallet washing service is capable of washing produce trays, plastic pallets, tote boxes and bulk bin containers.
The MBI team of Jon Graves and Paul Hampton have known each other, and RCI for many years. When an opportunity arose to acquire the business, the team sought funding that would support their long term growth plans, whilst ensuring no equity dilution.
The 8 year fully unsecured loan facilitated by Caple required no security or personal guarantees, complementing existing, secured facilities.
"Andy Coghlan and Charlie Copp supported our purchase of RCI Ltd. The WK team helped us to develop a proposition that enabled a funding partner, Caple, to be secured. In addition, they sourced a high quality ABL finance line with Arbuthnot and the time and attention to detail that the team provided was critical to the successful purchase. We look forward to working with WK in the future on further acquisitions to our portfolio of businesses."
Paul Hampton, Director, RCI Limited
